I am doing the next two things that my long walk through life has taught me…PS YES it has been a LOOOONG walk! Of course I think that is quite possibly what anyone who is over 40 thinks.
I was hoping to post a lesson every day, but last night I had some Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream and I slid into a total carb slumber so this post is a combo. I’m not giving up and for me that is a big step too. I could have and might have dropped the whole post idea, but I’ve got that God promise thing going. No worries if you don’t know what I’m getting at…He does.
On to #3 because right now it fits. #2 is next.

When I was a little kid, I remember being sent for a nap and not being remotely happy about it. I closed my door and stood in my room for maybe a total of two minutes…tops five! I came out yawning and stretching my arms and told my mom how much better I felt after that nap.
She wasn’t impressed.
I was sent back to bed.
Now I know how amazeballs naps are! Work naps are particularly fabulous! I learned when I was working at an Orthodontic practise. I had an hour lunch and I would eat and then take a stroll to my car and nod right out! Talk about a slice of Heaven! When I worked a third shift at a casino we all took naps. I excelled at taking even a quick 15. Truly awesome!
Naps in your husband’s lap or while leaning on your husband are also a treat. I think I fall asleep better on my husband than I do next to him. This makes him reluctant to watch late night movies with me, but I wear him down. 🙂
So yeah, #3 Naps rock hard and if you are denying yourself those little snippets of dream time, I want to encourage you to give it a go at lunch sometime.

Do you ever have one of those days where you feel like you are juggling a circus? You stress so hard you just have to have chocolate? Or is that just me? I’ve learned recently that when the stress hits, I can instead move to what I call fluffy chocolate. That fluffy chocolate at work is this sweet little puppy Cassidy who happens to be owned by one of my co-workers. She brings her in every morning, and we all rush to see her and never fail to leave smiling.
If you have allergies or do not have that easy fluffy puppy or kitty access, try some kitten or puppy videos or pictures. Baby animals of all kinds pretty much will fit the bill. At least they do in my world. I think God made baby animals adorable for many reasons. One, so we want to take care of them…two, stress relief. Serious! Check below.
