It is finally here and I am so excited, nervous and happy to join in with 31 Days of Writing with a Five Minute Friday twist. We’ve got 31 one-word prompts and 5 minutes. Just the time I need to get a little creativity flowing in a pretty crazy month.
Today’s prompt – Why
Go!
Find your why. This is something that has echoed through my mind a lot lately. Why do I do the things I do? Why do I eat food that isn’t really good for me knowing that it isn’t good for me. Or eat too much of the things that aren’t good for me. Why am I sharing what I share on the air in my day job? Why do I read the Bible or not read the Bible? Why do I buy so many Christian Living books? Why has God called me to something that I feel woefully inadequate to do? Well…I got that one…
Sometimes I think we move on autopilot. We do things but we don’t examine the why. It could be a cultural thing. It could have something to do with being caught up in a very busy world. We have grown to move from one thing to the next without a lot of thought taking place in between. Or maybe without a lot of digging in thought.
That is where I want to go. I want to dig deeper so I can understand my whys and embrace the answers. In that embrace maybe find healing, hope, share hope, giving and change.
I think this is a great place to start.
Stop

It can be so easy to slip into autopilot.

I’m praying to slip out of it for sure. Thank you for visiting Tara.

So true – it is far too easy to just keep rushing around, but much better when we stop to consider why and evaluate what things we should be continuing. Glad you’re taking part in the challenge!
Kelly says
Thank you Lesley. I am so glad to be a part of it too. 🙂 Thank you for coming by.
